Kia ora:)
Wellbeing looks different for everyone. What we all have in common is the need to feel safe, and secure and to belong in all areas of our life.
Whether it’s at work, at home, or in the community, wellbeing starts with YOU.
My career has taken many different directions but every experience has taught me something about others and a lot about myself.
I have a passion for people’s growth and happiness and a general curiosity for life, the human mind & body, and personal development.
I have a wide range of experience and knowledge including 8 years of Ambulance service, a Diploma in Sports Science & Management, a Diploma in Grief & Bereavement Counselling, Te Reo Maori certifications, and a long list of others that gives me a holistic view on peoples situations and circumstances. While these certifications are great, my extensive travels throughout the world working with a range of cultures and nationalities alongside my personal journey through grief, loss, anxiety, depression & PTSD are my greatest achievements.
My intention through my work is to:
– Provide individual support. Active Listening is a key skill in communication and everyone deserves to feel truly heard. I can help clarify what it is an individual needs or have what they are saying reflected to them in a way they can understand and make sense of.
– Connecting people to themselves by providing practical tools for individuals to learn more about their own emotions, values, beliefs & boundaries. This way they can feel comfortable, confident, and proud of who they are.
– Connect people to their communities of social groups, support networks, and resources
The power of a conversation can lead to great transformation
