I have been working with a coach for the past 11 weeks and I have one final session this Wednesday.
It was an investment to support every area of my life and I am sad that it is coming to an end. Supporting others is what I love to do, but I need support too. It’s like having your own personal cheerleader constantly in the background. We laughed together, had moments of synchronicity and she has pushed me through some big blocks that I have held on to for decades.
Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone had their own cheerleader? Someone who you can bond with, trust, guide you and who only has your best interests at heart. That someone can be you:)
Our previous session looked at a purpose statement for my life as a daily reminder of why I do what I do & a reflective tool. For me, I need to have a purpose for motivation and focus.
After many drafts here is my final copy:
“The purpose of my life is to grow personally, professionally and spiritually. By putting time and energy into myself, I will empower those who I connect with to do the same. I will educate & support people through shared knowledge, wisdom & creativity to strengthen their presence & connection within and leave a legacy of what is possible for my daughter and all who come after.”
Your purpose will be as unique as you are. I found that defining my purpose with this statement, it brought a sense of clarity and reassurance after a challenging month:)
